eDriving Renews ISO/IEC 27001 Security Certification for its Continuing Commitment to Maintaining Security and Managing Information Risks to Protect Client Data
eDriving®, the worldwide provider of driver safety management solutions, has achieved re-certification of the ISO/IEC 27001: 2013 standard for information security management.
ISO 27001 is an internationally-recognized standard that defines best practice for an information security management system. eDriving first achieved the standard in 2014 and has demonstrated that it continues to have a robust and comprehensive information security management system that meets the highest standards for protecting client information.
“Maintaining ISO 27001 certification is testament to our company-wide commitment to information security,” said Ed Dubens, CEO and Founder of eDriving. “Client privacy and security considerations have always been built into everything we do as an organization. With data protection rules stronger than ever and growing volumes of driver data being utilized by risk managers, organizations are increasingly aware of the need to protect the privacy of individuals.”
To achieve the ISO 27001 certification, eDriving underwent a rigorous assessment of its information security management systems, including its secure web application, data processing and data center as well as physical security measures, employee training and access control.
ISO 27001 certification recognizes eDriving’s commitment to:
Protect its clients and their information in accordance with international standards
Benchmark its policies and procedures against international best practice
Assure clients of its commitment and investment in technology and company procedures to ensure a secure and reliable operating environment for users globally
