Falkirk Council favour Wybone litter bins

We’ve recently worked with Falkirk Council and supplied over 900 MLB/120 Eco litter bins fitted with bin sensors.

We have been working with Falkirk Council since 2006, and were nominated to tender earlier this year to supply a number of freestanding litter bins with the possibility of incorporating bin sensors. This tender was to be fulfilled as part of a replacement roll out scheme in the city centre and surrounding areas of Falkirk.
As we do so much in-house, we are uniquely placed to offer a bespoke service to meet a wide range of requirements such as colour and personalised artwork. We were successful in winning their tender and certified with the Scotland Excel Framework. As a result, Falkirk Council ordered over 900 MLB/120 Eco litter bins fitted with Enevo sensors.
As stated in the tender, we were able to adhere to their staggered delivery requirements and manufacture their first order with a quick turnaround. The remainder of the order will be completed early 2018.
This MLB Eco Litter Bin has been purpose designed using efficient and economical manufacturing techniques to enable cost savings that can be passed directly to our customers.
This new design includes two large, seamless fold-down apertures to the front and back with the same signature cut-corner feature of our standard MLB range.
This eco litter bin is manufactured from durable, British bought galvanised steel, which is expertly primed, cured and powder coated to offer a superior durability and excellent corrosion resistance.
This information is used to generate a more efficient collection route to help with cost savings. The MLB/120 Eco has a 120 litre capacity to collect a large amount of waste, ideal for city centre use. Incorporating bin sensors can help to track the fill level of a litter bin, preventing overflowing litter bins in high traffic areas.
Chris Jackson at Falkirk Council contacted us with feedback: “We nominated Wybone to tender as part of the Scotland Excel Framework, to complete a replacement roll out scheme in the city centre and surrounding areas. The council required a large number of freestanding metal litter bins with optional bin sensors.
We chose Wybone as they were able to accommodate our request, with large capacity litter bins but with a slim on-street design.
