An intelligent system boasts of capacity to communicate with other systems to collect data and initiate appropriate corrective action subsequent to performing an analysis over such data. Cameras being a key element of intelligent surveillance systems, however only one percent of the video captured through CCTVs is ever reviewed by a human. Thus leading to emergence of intelligent video analytics, face recognition technology and automatic number plate recognition to name a few.
Intelligent video analytics for instance uses the bulk of footage it collects from cameras to develop pedestrian, traffic or motion patterns based on which it notifies the monitoring team of any deviation from the usual.
The monitoring team upon receiving such notification can review whether the situation is serious enough to raise an alarm. As concerns around safety are mounting globally, an intelligent video analytics could be an ideal choice for public spaces such as parks, office buildings, retail stores, academic institutions among others.
