M20 Junction 10A

The Twig Group was tasked with the sensitive vegetation clearance of three key field before work started on the creation of Junction 10a on the M20 motorway at Ashford.

This work was completed on behalf on Vinci, as part of a joint venture with Taylor Woodrow, for the Highways Agency. The sensitive vegetation clearance was planned and inspected by Jacobs, assisted by our in-house Natural England licence holders. The fields were initially cut to 150mm then raked-off by hand. The remaining vegetation was then carefully reduced using streamers, as part of the habitat manipulation process.
