PSIM is a software application that is designed to act as a link between all the unconnected security applications and devices enabling control for all of them through a unified interface.

A typical PSIM application includes functionalities which enable collection of data and subsequent analysis of such data helping the monitoring or command centre to appraise itself of the situation in real-time emerging after a security breach.

Another set of key tasks a PSIM application is designed to achieve includes providing the monitoring team with detailed information about standard operating procedures, compliance reporting, best practises in each category of security breach.

Analytics on the performance of monitoring team can also be accessed through a PSIM, offering them insights into how each member of the team performed during security breaches and tracking of what updates were made in the system and by whom.
