The Scaffolding Association to Host Panel Discussion at the SHExpo '18

The session will take the recent call for submissions from the APPG (All Parliamentary Group) on Working at Height and feature key industry stakeholders and specialists.

On the 21st June at the Excel London, we will be on hosting a Working at Height Panel Discussion in the Keynote Theatre. The session will take the recent call for submissions from the APPG (All Parliamentary Group) on Working at Height and feature key industry stakeholders and specialists.

The speakers will include:
Robert Candy - Chief Executive The Scaffolding Association
Adrian Marsh - Editor AccessPoint
Simon Mitchell - Training Manager SpanSet Limited
Paul Reeve - Head of Working at Height CONIAN
Craig Varian - Consultant and Chartered Member of IOSH

They will be discussing the following:
What are the primary reasons for falls?
Would enhanced reporting lead to better understanding of the causes, and help reduce falls from height?
Review of the existing regulations for work at height
Is the current definition of "competence" for working at height appropriate?
What measures would be necessary to prevent falls, or falling objects, which are not currently required by law?
What more can industry do to avoid falls from height, and share good practice?
